Meet our founder
Dr. Ying Chu
Ho Ying Chu, Psy.D., LCSW, is a dual-licensed Clinical & Forensic Psychologist (California & Texas) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California & Nevada). She received her education from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Pepperdine University. She specializes in forensic psychology and neuropsychology. Dr. Chu completed her training at several top-tier institutions, including Ibemed (three-year post-doctoral medical psychology residency fellowship focusing on neuropsychology and behavioral medicine), Los Angeles County Department of Long Beach Mental Health Services (MHS) Adult Clinic (advance practicum), Harbor UCLA Medical Center (advanced cognitive behavioral therapy), No. 1 children's hospital in the western United States—Children's Hospital Los Angeles (USC/UCEDD APA Internship Didactics), VIP’s Forensic Urgent Care Center, LAC-USC Medical Center, and Kaiser Permanente.
Dr. Chu was further trained for over three years by Dr. L. Scott Frazier, Ph.D., QME., who completed Harvard Internships and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Oxford. She has been a guest lecturer for the Counseling and School Psychology Graduate Program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is pursuing a qualified medical evaluator (QME) certification with over 10 years of post-doctoral experience in the medical-legal field. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
